About the Course

Trauma and injury result from a large number of causes, including unintentional accidents or intentional harm. In addition, it can occur anywhere such as at home, at work, or when engaged in recreational activities. When someone is injured, the most common cause of preventable death is uncontrolled bleeding. Just as everyone should know how to perform CPR in the event of a heart attack and cardiac arrest, so too should everyone know how to control external bleeding. By learning how to stop external bleeding, it is possible to help save a life, even your own.
